My Honest Take on Fyxer (After Actually Using It)
Share

Like most business owners, my inbox has always been a bit of a battle.

Not the "completely out of control" type… but definitely the kind where things get missed, replies get delayed, and it quietly eats up time every single day.

So I decided to give Fyxer a try.

Getting Started

Setup was simple.

The only thing to be aware of — if you've got an IT support company managing your Microsoft 365 — they'll likely need to approve the app for you. Once that's done, you're up and running pretty quickly.

No complicated setup. No big learning curve.

The Real Impact

This is the bit that matters.

Fyxer is saving me around an hour a day on email admin.

That's not a "marketing claim" — that's based on actually using it day-to-day.

More importantly:

  • I don't miss emails anymore
  • I don't forget to reply to important messages
  • My inbox feels under control rather than something I'm constantly catching up with

That alone has made a big difference.

Draft Replies – Better Than I Expected (With a Caveat)

The draft responses have improved a lot.

At the start, they were a bit too helpful — long, overly detailed replies that actually took more time to trim down.

But once I spent a bit of time training it and adjusting the tone, it started to sound much more like me.

That's the key takeaway:
You do need to put a bit of effort into shaping how it writes.

Once you do, it becomes genuinely useful.

One Small Frustration

There is one thing that's slightly annoying.

If you use the snooze feature in Outlook, Fyxer moves emails into its own organising folders. That means you can't just snooze them directly anymore.

Instead, you have to:

  1. Drag the email back into your inbox
  2. Then snooze it

It's not a deal-breaker — but it's a bit clunky.

The Bottom Line

I hadn't hit inbox zero in about 10 years.

Now, it's a regular thing.

And more importantly, I'm spending less time managing email and more time actually getting work done.

For me, that's what tools like this should do. Nothing flashy — just practical, real value.
